What I've been blown away by is how everything has been done to perfection. Not over cooked, not overly breaded, ample sized portions, the shrimp were huge, the bread was to die for and everything is made from scratch, including the pasta and they use local produce. Not only is the food amazing but the prices are either average or on the low side. I'm used to dining at restaurants like this when in Vegas or other conference/vacation hot spots and paying a good bit more. So in comparison, this place is cheap but more importantly it's every bit as good as any place I've been to in this category. One of the guys in my party is a real "foody" having been to hundreds of the finest restaurants. Even he agreed that for the price and the category it receives top marks. My party of 4 had a long conversation with the owner where she announced they would soon offer $7.99 lunch options which include drink. If I remember correctly there is one daily special at that price each week day then on Saturday all 5 specials from the prior week are offered. You cant hardly get out of fast food place for that. (That's not offered yet and please forgive me if I misquoted anything) Charlie was our waiter both times and he was perfect. Just the right amount of friendly, talkative and informative without overdoing it. And I love that they take your order on ipad which goes straight to the chef's screen and you pay at the table through the ipad. Very convenient and quick. Several reviews have been very critical over the taste but I think its because they ordered the lowest priced options and were underwhelmed. But I don't think its fair to judge something based on its lowest priced product. Everything we ordered was more pricey but was absolutely amazing. But then again even the past side with marinara was absolutely mouth watering because everything is from scratch. If this place doesn't make it then shame on us for not supporting it. We need to support our local mom and pop restaurants and this is one I hope to be dining at for many years.

I was far disappointed with all the hype of this place. For one this is no where near fine dining. Service was so so slow for not having more than two tables with customers. They were offering food/wine that they did not even have in stock. They still do not have a liquor license. The Cesar dressing was good but way way way to much for the 2 romaine leave "salad". Chicken parm and pasta were dry and flavorless. This place was way over priced and we won't be going back.

Great Restaurant! I had the strip steak special with the Italian Spinach and it was fantastic. It came with mushrooms in a butter garlic sauce to die for. Steak was cooked perfect and we took home deserts and they were awesome as well. The bread was really good too! I'm so glad there's a good non chain restaurant here.

Good stuff. Homemade pasta and sauce. The wait staff and chef are very kind and accommodating. I had brunch and thought overall the selections were good. Yay for prime rib! For this region it's a nice change from the typical fair.

Very good bread and salad to start the meal. The 12 ounce ribeye was mediocre at best very thin. Italian potatoes were dry. Very awkward having to leave the tip with waitress looking at u while u pick the options on her iPad. Many people around us were complaining about their meal.

This was just awful. The noodles in my pasta were so overcooked they were all one big gelatinis blob of mush. 1/4 of the way into the meal I realized the chicken skewers were raw on the end... Disappointed. The lasagna was sweet yet bland. Salad was ok but over priced. Literally a whole romaine leaf with cheese on it. Even after all that I was charged for drinks and salad. No revisit unless I see changes.

Food was delicious. Bread is to die for. Personal service. We had 4 different meals. Each of us really enjoyed ours. Steak literally melted in my mouth.

Food was good. Prices are a little high for the food. The only thing I didn't like was having to pay on the ipad and the waitress blurted out the total and her tip. Some would like a little more discretion when paying for dinner.

Service and food are ALWAYS above compare. This has quickly become a family favorite and we look forward to dining here with friends. Steaks are to die for, easily comparable to leading steak restaurants in Memphis. Recently I accidentally left my debit card and was contacted immediately. They kept my card in their safe until I was able to return.

First time I was here, I thought is was good. Didn't like the payment process however. Second time here and they messed up my order twice. First, they brought the wrong salad. Had to send it back. Then when they brought my entree, they brought me something that was complete different than what I ordered my first visit. I was reordering the same thing I got my first visit as I they send you an email of the receipt. So I made sure to order the same thing. Come to find out, apparently on my first visit I was brought the completely wrong entree.

My wife and I decided to try Tuscany last night. We hadn't heard anything about it so we didn't have any expectations. My wife ordered the filet and I had the lasagna. We both thought that the food was very good. The steak was very tender and well seasoned and the lasagna had an excellent sauce. I really enjoyed the wedge salad as well. My only knock would be that the service was a little inconsistent. Very friendly, but we had to wait a while for refills and used plates were never cleared from the table. Nevertheless, we'll return the next time we want Italian food in Olive Branch.

It's all a little strange. We've been twice. I'm desperate for non-chain restaurants in OB, so I REALLY want Tuscany to be successful. But I'm skeptical. I give the food mixed marks. On the first visit, I had an excellent steak topped with goat cheese. Perfectly prepared. Tonight's visit was lasagna... mushy lasagna. The sauce, pasta, meat, and cheese were just mush. There's no nice was to put it. It WAS tasty, but was almost like eating pudding. I agree with other reviews that they are over-priced. I have no problem with $17 lasagna. But when the server tells you "it's our easiest dish" your only thought will be... "Because you've got a pan of it made up and all that's left to do it re-heat it." Does that really entice you to pay $17 for mushy lasagna? Service is the biggest issue. The server on our first visit didn't have a clue what was going on. When asked what she'd recommend, she replied "everything is good." Hmmm. She also seem scattered because she had 6 tables (5 four-tops and a party of 12) to take care of, since she seemed to be the only server there. That's a management issue, and not her fault. Tonight's server was MUCH more with-it, but still had issues. In addition to the "easy lasagna" comment, for dessert we were offered "panna cotta leftover from Valentine's Day" (which was 4 days ago). I TOTALLY understand that restaurants don't make things fresh everyday, but you don't have to TELL the customers... especially if you advertise how everything is made "in-house." It might made in-house... but (thanks to my server), I have to wonder WHEN it was made. The salads are good... but again, overpriced. Same for the antipasto plate, which is priced per person. The bread is VERY tasty... and greasy. Then there is the fumbling with the computer to find out which tables are available in an empty restaurant. Then there is the whole iPad payment issue. I love how Chili's does it: tablet at your table, pay whenever you want. At Tuscany, your server brings you the tablet, then HOVERS while waiting for you to pay... and leave your tip. It's an odd situation. Again, it's not the server's fault... but they are placed in an awkward situation. The whole feeling is just a big strange. Seems they are trying for polished service, but are off the mark. I'm hoping they get the bumps worked out, because I really want a nice non-chain place in OB. I'm just not sure (yet) if this is going to be that place.

The atmosphere is lovely and our waitress was amazing. The food was disgusting with tons of raw garlic in the fettuccine Alfredo. I sent it back but still got charged for it. The restaurant did work hard to get us out in time for a movie. Maybe the food suffered for it? (We allotted 1 hour 20 minutes to eat.) I won't be back to try again. Overpriced and poorly made.

Hoping for a good Italian restaurant in this area, we tried Tuscany last Saturday night. I have posted a review on their fb page but wanted to post here too. The post has vanished from fb but it won't vanish from Yelp. I gave them 2 stars because the bread was good and the salad was not offensive. The lasagna (which should be a no brainer) was mediocre at best. I ordered cannoli for dessert. The chef has decided that traditional cannoli needed a re-boot. For $7, I got a flat, fried, inedible pastry with a grainy creamy "something" smeared on top. I sent the dish back after I had to request a steak knife to cut the overcooked, reimagined cannoli dish. I was charged for the dessert inspite of not being able to eat it. I am not sure I will go back. I don't see a reason to give them a second chance.

Salad and bread pretty good. Both of us had ribeye. One was pretty good, but overly greasy. Other had a taste of 'pam spray' it seemed and not very good. Service not the best, but not terrible. Restaurant was a ghost town on a Sunday night at 7:00. Last impression of the evening was waitress bringing a couple of boxes and handing the bill on a tablet. We are not against technology by any means, but instead of staring at me waiting to punch in a tip, perhaps put our food in the box for us? Even chains like Olive Garden do this and leaving a tip feels a bit more personal to reflect the service received for me personally. In the end I feel like we overpaid and over tipped for a very average meal. We don't plan to return.

The waitress was very nice, but the food was terrible...and by terrible I mean I could have gotten a better steak at Waffle House. Very disappointed. I was looking forward to good Italian food. Please don't waste your money. Sadly, You'll get better Italian at Fazoli's.

This is an excellent Italian restaurant, and the prices were quite reasonable. Nick waited on us and did a great job. He was knowledgable and friendly but did not interfere with our conversation. They have beer but no wine or liquor. We brought our own wine and they provided glasses. Four of us had quite different dishes, pasta, vegeterian, chicken and cannelloni. The pasta was home made and perfectly cooked. The seafood was delicious and the diablo sauce was hot. The eggplant was really delicious. It was baked perfectly, tender with a number of other veg. The highlight of a great meal was the Raspberry Charlotte. Homemade ladyfingers and the best raspberry cream I have ever eaten. Four of us shared one. We could have licked the dish if we were not in public.

The most amazing food. All made from scratch. The best steaks ever. Handmade pasta come on, unheard of in Memphis. Simply amazing.

I know they just opened and deserve a little slack, but, it should have been better for the price. The good: the bread is awesome (if it's available). The pasta was good, rich, but good. I appreciate that is fresh made and hot. The bad: it was 28 degrees outside and not much warmer inside. People were dining with jackets on! We asked for dinner recommendations and got none as staff had no idea what was good on the menu, as they had never tried it. Hmmmm. No drinks on the menu, soft drinks or otherwise. Apparently you have to pay an undisclosed additional fee for special dietary request such as gluten free, etc. Overall: the food was good, but service and menu were not up to parr yet. At the end of the meal. We had to pay on a tablet which could not read our card, resulting in us reciting or credit card number in front of other guests. They also announce your charges before giving u the tablet. We know exactly what the table behind us paid. That's a problem for me. I can't see myself returning anytime soon.

My wife and I have watched the restaurants at this location come and go without much in the loss column for good dining in the Olive Branch area. Tonight we gave the new guy a try and I truly hope this one takes off. We each chose dishes with chicken as the signature meat. The pasta is homemade; the chicken in the Anna Maria ( I think that was what it was called) was lightly breaded and perfectly seasoned and grilled. The spinach, tomatoes, and other additions to my pasta were fresh and delicious. The wait staff was courteous and completely attentive. The chef stopped by the table to explain some of his approach to our meal and proved to be not only a quality chef but an entertaining conversationist. Loved it.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
